One of the best ways to spot a cachalot in the ocean is by its massive head. Cachalots have the largest brain of all living things on Earth, it weighs up to 7.8 kg. However, the fact that their heads are filled with spermaceti makes the biology of these creatures so fascinating. It is the spermaceti sac that accounts for 90% of the weight of the cachalot’s head.
