The largest Zoos in the world

  1. Bronx Zoo

Bronx Zoo is located in New York, in the famous Bronx. It is one of the first parks to appear on the Bronx River. The number of species under the care of the zoo reaches six hundred and fifty, which includes four thousand different species of animals. The peculiarity of the zoo is that almost all of its enclosures imitate the natural habitat of the animals located there. It became the first zoo in the United States (in 1941) to take animals out of their cages into open pens.

This animal shelter occupies an impressive one hundred and seven hectares, which also includes naturalistic lands. About two million tourists visit this zoological park every year.
