Artists very often broadcast from television screens that they are grateful to the supreme forces that they were able to achieve some success in their careers. Often, on religious holidays, we see the country’s most significant celebrity, together with ordinary citizens, pray or take part in various rituals.
This was done in order to show their support and involvement with ordinary people and religion. However, not all celebrity are honest with people in this case. As Maxim Galkin admitted, he has been an atheist for many years and has never really been attached to Orthodoxy.
According to the artist, he had to create the image of a believer and perform at various religious events, while being present in the church under hundreds of cameras, only to maintain his own image.
He understood that many residents of the country recognize him as a fellow in religion, so they would be more willing to buy tickets to concerts, therefore, Galkin would be more popular and richer.
